Hosting over 125,000 theater-goers annually, the Playhouse presents ten productions plus the annual holiday favorite, "A Christmas Carol." The theater presents a number of mainstage productions annually called the "Emmy Gifford Children's Classics." In 1995, the historic 1927 Astro Theater located in downtown Omaha underwent a $9.3 million renovation to become the company's headquarters and new performance space named the "Rose Blumkin Center for Performing Arts," or as it's more fondly called "The Rose.".
